If you have ever been presented with data that didn’t align with the “result” you expected, you probably felt a range of emotions from confusion to anger. Why does this happen and can it be avoided?

I have spent many years providing financial and clinical data to healthcare professionals and leaders. Before this, I did the same in the private and non-profit sectors. Data inevitably comes with grief - not always, just under the similar conditions that are part of everyday at work - or even in your personal lives. In the next several posts, I am going so share some insights in to why this happens, what challenges it presents, how to address it, and the big question, how can we learn from this to add greater value to our work and business.
